Following a rigorous audit, 2468 has been granted re-certification for ISO 14001 for environmental management and ISO 9001 for quality management. We’re also among the first Irish organisations certified for transition to the new 2015 Standard. This means we now have an Integrated Management System which combines Quality and Environmental management systems into one.
ISO 14001:2015 is the internationally recognised standard for environmental management systems. It provides a universal framework for organisations to develop a robust and systematic approach to the management of their environmental impacts. ISO 9001:2015 sets out the requirements for our quality management system. It helps businesses and organizations to be more efficient and improve customer satisfaction.
Achieving the ISO standard certifies our commitment to a journey towards more environmentally sustainable practises and our commitment to quality in the way we deliver our products and services to our customers. Initiatives implemented to achieve the standard included making improvements to buildings and facilities, and waste management areas and improvements to our quality control, safety standards and training.
For us standards count. 2468 was first certified in 2009 and ISO is one of the best ways to demonstrate our commitment to our customers in Ireland and UK. The ISO process also help us in charting our course on the journey to greater and better sustainability and quality practices.
